The Northern WV Brownfields Assistance Center has two open positions. We’re excited to grow our team to better help communities across the state and region.

The NBAC provides technical assistance and support to communities across WV, and with our new EPA TAB grant, we’ll soon be expanding to the rest of EPA Region 3. These two positions will be critical parts of our already outstanding team.

Brownfields Redevelopment Specialist

The Brownfields Redevelopment Specialist will serve as project lead and provide technical assistance on industrial legacy sites. This includes the timeliness and cost-effectiveness of all deliverables. The incumbent will assist with proposal development, site development support, assisting in the creation of project funding strategies, facilitating meetings with project stakeholders, day-to-day tasks of the NBAC, and will work with communities on Brownfield-related issues. Through support for the redevelopment of industrial legacy sites, this position will help communities establish sustainable economic development initiatives that will enhance the well-being and quality of life of the people of West Virginia, attract investment to communities, and maximize resources in the state.

Outreach & Education Coordinator

The Outreach & Education Coordinator will support all educational activities of the NBAC and the WV Water Research Institute. This includes organizing and managing virtual and in-person events, as well as writing and coordinating educational materials such as newsletters, website content, and social media presence.
