The EPA has released the Request for Proposals and guidelines for their FY 2016 Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training (EWDJT) Funding Opportunities. In addition to Brownfields hazardous waste training, grantees may use grant funds for solid waste management or cleanup training, superfund site cleanup training, including innovative and alternative treatments, wastewater treatment and/or stormwater management training, emergency response training, enhanced environmental health and safety and/or chemical safety trianing and integrated pest management training The proposal submission deadline is January 14, 2016.

In December, the EPA will be conducting two EWDJT grant writing webinars to assist applicants with understanding the EWDJT application guidelines. The webinars will also provide an opportunity for applicants to pose questions to the EPA. If you plan to submit an EWDJT proposal this year, it is highly recommended that you attend at least one of these webinars, especially if you have questions or need clarification on any of this year’s guidelines.
